Dog Shelter Goodbye

There are no words to express the compassionate care given pets and animals by shelter personnel providing a temporary home for abandoned, abused, or otherwise homeless cats and dogs.

Ah! But if a picture paints a thousand words, I have the photo that tells the whole shelter dog story! Yesterday, Valentino said his goodbye to Karen, the director of the Franklin County Humane Society, his home for eight months.

A Dog and His Rescuer Saying Goodbye

Many thanks to Karen and all of the workers and volunteers who rescued, loved, and cared for Valentino while he waited for me to find him, foster him, and adopt him. My dog Valentino and I became an official foster failure — our adoption of one another is a done deal — our hearts forever home.

We are linking up with BlogPaws on the Wordless Wednesday blog hop for lovers of pets and animals. You will also find us over at Noner Says, sharing our joy in foster failure.
